About the Role Roynat Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Scotiabank, is seeking an Associate to help create and grow business by developing opportunities across Financial, Customer, Operational and People outcomes. The role involves managing and expanding an assigned portfolio, monitoring performance, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring adherence to credit and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

What You'll Do

• Manage and control assigned loan portfolio to optimize risk and return, including researching, preparing and verifying credit applications aligned with Roynat’s guidelines and policies.
• Exercise sound credit judgment based on due diligence and analysis; monitor accounts for conformance to terms; perform timely financial statement reviews; identify and resolve deteriorating credit quality; participate in resolution of problem loans as needed.
• Develop strong working relationships with Risk Management partners and establish a feedback process for credit presentations.
• Maintain solid client relationships, ensure timely administration and reviews, and keep a comprehensive database of activities.
• Ensure KYC and other conditions are satisfied prior to disbursement; resolve client inquiries and escalate when necessary.
• Contribute to business plan development and execution to achieve target objectives and maximize opportunities from existing clients and new prospects; develop and maintain a regular sales cadence.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in credit analysis and portfolio management; ability to assess risk and make informed credit decisions.
• Strong due diligence, financial statement review, and ability to prepare comprehensive credit packages.
• Knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements and regulatory expectations.
• Strong client relationship management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration with Risk Management.
• Ability to develop and execute business plans, identify opportunities, and drive growth within an assigned market.
• Ability to work with Scotiabank partners and other key sources for referrals; self-motivated with a results orientation.
