Mercy University invites nominations and applications for a 9-month faculty position to teach in the graduate nursing programs (Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program) at our Westchester campus (Dobbs Ferry, NY). Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: This position requires the ability to teach in a variety of courses, with a particular need in the graduate Psych Mental Health program. The graduate programs are taught online (experience preferred) and in person at the Dobbs Ferry Campus. Candidates should have a clinical practice (preferred). Responsibilities include teaching with an emphasis on high-impact teaching practices, inclusive pedagogy, and active learning.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Teaching experience – minimum five years
• Unencumbered NYS License
• Have at least 1 year teaching experience in an online format
• Experience in clinical practice as PMHNP/FNP is preferred
• Experience working with diverse student populations

Education Requirements:

• Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD) is required with national certification in a NP specialty (family, adult or pediatrics).

Physical/Other Requirements:

• Must be able to perform tasks that may involve pushing, pulling, moving, or lifting up to 50 lbs., with reasonable accommodations as needed.
