Associate Principal Engineer

This role is deliberately the rung where you prove you can hold technical direction through credibility rather than title.
You will need:
- Roughly 8–12 years of hands-on software engineering, with recent time at senior or staff scope where other engineers depended on what you owned
- Deep expertise on one of our platforms: JavaScript and TypeScript with Node.js, Express, and Angular; or .NET with C#, ASP.NET Core, and Web API
- Real experience designing REST APIs or microservices rather than only consuming them
- Strong SQL and data modeling ability
- Testing discipline across unit, integration, and functional levels
- Demonstrated ownership of a subsystem or service in production, including the consequences of your own design decisions
- Code review leadership and mentoring of senior and mid-level engineers
- Ability to debug across tiers under pressure and reason from symptom to root cause
