Job title: Associate, Planning and Administration - Transaction Banking for APAC
About the Role MUFG, a globally respected financial institution, is seeking an Associate to join their Planning and Administration team in the Transaction Banking Office for Asia (TBOA) based in Singapore. The role combines planning, financial analysis, administrative coordination, marketing support and stakeholder engagement to help drive APAC growth and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with regional teams and Head Office to support key business initiatives and promote continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Support the planning, control, forecasting, and reporting of budgets, expenses, and headcount for Singapore and the wider APAC region.
- Prepare management meeting materials to communicate key information to senior stakeholders.
- Assist in developing strategies for the Transaction Banking Office for Asia by maintaining oversight of budget and headcount data.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze financial information related to transaction banking performance.
- Monitor and update business projections to provide insights into future trends and opportunities.
- Improve MIS availability and visibility by coordinating with Head Office and local sales/product teams.
- Initiate or support marketing events and related tasks to promote regional initiatives.
- Provide operational support for MIS-related activities tied to promotional efforts.
- Manage day-to-day administrative work and streamline internal procedures for efficiency.
- Support people engagement by helping organize internal/external events and training sessions.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Business, Economics, Accountancy, Finance or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- At least three years’ experience in a financial institution or planning function where analytical thinking was essential.
- Hands-on experience with Management Information System (MIS) reporting processes that drive informed decision-making.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Excellent time management and ability to handle routine tasks and ad hoc projects.
- Proven problem-solving skills in complex organizations or fast-evolving environments.
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration or multi-region coordination.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building dependable relationships across departments or geographies.
- Experience supporting marketing events or business promotion initiatives within large organizations (desirable).
Nice to Have
- Experience guiding process improvements or streamlining administrative workflows would be advantageous.
