Job title: Associate Medical Director, Oncology

About the Role The Associate Medical Director, Oncology at ICON provides medical leadership across the design, execution, and interpretation of oncology clinical trials, helping advance innovative therapies.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design clinical development plans and study protocols.
  • Provide medical oversight throughout the lifecycle of clinical trials, including patient recruitment, safety monitoring, and data analysis.
  • Ongoing medical review of data and support for Safety Review Committees.
  • Interpret complex medical and clinical trial data to support decision-making and regulatory submissions.
  • Contribute to scientific publications, presentations, and regulatory documents.
  • Build and maintain relationships with investigators, key opinion leaders, and regulatory authorities.

What We're Looking For

  • Medical degree (MD) required; board certification preferred in oncology/haematology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical research or medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial design, execution, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in immuno-oncology.
  • Excellent communication and relational skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
