About this role

The Role

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the mechanical design and delivery of major transport and infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
  • Provide technical leadership across HVAC, ventilation, smoke management and mechanical building services systems.
  • Lead large multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to successful project outcomes across complex programs.
  • Manage project scope, programme, quality, risk and commercial performance.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, contractors and key project stakeholders.
  • Lead design reviews and provide technical governance to ensure quality, compliance and constructability.
  • Mentor, coach and develop engineers across the Mechanical discipline and broader Building Services team.
  • Support the growth of technical capability through knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Lead proposals, contribute to pursuits and support the securing of future project opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions that create better outcomes and value for clients.

You will contribute across a diverse project portfolio including transport, aviation, defence, mission critical, commercial and major infrastructure projects, providing strong project diversity and long-term career opportunities.

About You

You will bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience within a Building Services consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated success delivering major transport, infrastructure or complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong technical expertise across HVAC, ventilation and mechanical building services systems.
  • Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary project teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience managing project scope, programme, risk and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management capability.
  • Experience leading proposals, pursuits and generating repeat business opportunities.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing engineers and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards, NCC and relevant authority requirements.
  • Chartered status, registration or eligibility for chartership will be highly regarded.
