About the Role

The Associate Manager, Global Procurement is an individual contributor role within Mattel’s Global Supply Chain Organization. You will support ocean freight and LCL ocean categories, execute sourcing strategies, and lead cross-functional initiatives to drive cost, service, and innovation across the globe.

What You'll Do

  • Lead full-cycle sourcing initiatives (RFI/RFQ/RFP) for Ocean Freight, LCL Ocean, and related logistics categories, managing projects from strategy through vendor selection and contract closeout.
  • Manage day-to-day communications with internal and external stakeholders; assist in forecasting and supplier relationship management.
  • Develop category strategies for LCL Ocean and other logistics categories, grounded in data, forecasts, and stakeholder needs.
  • Facilitate the Ocean Freight RFI/RFQ/RFP process with vendor awards in Coupa CSO; collaborate with Integrated Sourcing Team to develop RFP documents, contract boilerplates, and performance tracking.
  • Build presentations and analytics on data and spend; identify savings opportunities and market trends.
  • Partner with Finance and Logistics to forecast annual category spend, align cost assumptions, and reconcile spend against targets.
  • Share best practices with the Global Procurement Logistics team to drive synergies and improve effectiveness.
  • Review current and new contracts with Legal/Risk Management to protect the business and identify procurement risks and opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • BA/BS (Business, Finance, and/or Operations/Supply Chain preferred).
  • Superior analytical, problem solving and financial modeling skills.
  • Proven ability to learn/execute independently; strong ability to build relationships and influence.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong project management skills; growth mindset; ability to work collaboratively across levels.
  • Preferred: CPM or similar certification; CPG background; Coupa/CSO/Oracle/Infor Nexus systems management; Financial acumen; Experience working cross-functionally.

Compensation & Benefits
