About the Role Join Squire Patton Boggs’ Insurance Regulatory and Compliance practice within the Global Financial Services Practice Group as an Associate. The role focuses on providing high-quality legal services to insurance clients on regulatory filings, compliance programs, and complex regulatory transactions. The position can be located in any U.S. office and offers exposure to regulatory interactions and sophisticated insurance matters across the industry. What You'll Do

• Provide a full range of high-quality legal services to insurance industry clients, including complex commercial and corporate transactions, responses to regulatory inquiries, regulatory reporting, and day-to-day regulatory compliance.
• Advise on insurance regulatory filings and approvals, holding company compliance, formation and licensure of insurers, and entry into new jurisdictions and markets.
• Structure and advise on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions involving insurance companies and insurance-related businesses.
• Develop and implement compliance programs, internal controls, risk mitigation strategies, and day-to-day regulatory compliance for clients.
• Analyze state insurance laws, provide counsel related to financial reporting and oversight, and support day-to-day operational regulatory compliance.
• Gain meaningful exposure to regulatory interactions, including responding to insurance department inquiries, assisting with market conduct and financial examinations, and supporting clients in administrative proceedings. What We're Looking For
• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record; admitted to practice law in the State Bar.
• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively on complex matters.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and sound judgment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle increased client contact and perform independently with less supervision from senior attorneys.
• Excellent client-relationship skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Motivated, organized, self-starter.
