Essential Job Functions
- Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts, with emphasis on company interests.
- Prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
- Travel to work with vendors and manufacturers and attend appropriate industry trade shows.
- Effectively analyze data to determine the appropriate course of action.
- Participate in the development, refinement, implementation, and management of the global sourcing strategy for assigned categories.
- Assume the role of project manager for new product development within assigned categories.
- Continually identify, assess, and recommend new suppliers.
- Analyze bids and other data and propose actionable recommendations.
- Conduct or participate in negotiations
