• Design Researcher is an entry-level role that will support research activities across the product lifecycle, helping to uncover insights that drive design and business decisions. The Associate

Experience

• Design Researcher will work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct and support user research that informs our product and design strategy. They’ll assist in planning, executing, and analyzing a variety of research studies—such as interviews, usability testing, and surveys—to better understand user needs and behaviors. This work will help ensure that our products are user-centered, accessible, and impactful.

• Day in the Life

• Assist in the design and execution of user research studies (e.g., usability testing, user interviews, surveys, diary studies).

• Recruit, screen, and schedule participants for research sessions.

• Collect and organize qualitative and quantitative data.

• Analyze research findings and help generate key insights.

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to translate insights into actionable recommendations.

• Help prepare research documentation, reports, and presentations.

• Stay informed about UX research trends, tools, and best practices.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.

• Pursuing or has a bachelor’s degree completed in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Design, Information Science, or a related field or a combination of education and work experience.

• Experience working on a UX or research project (academic, internship, or extracurricular) preferred.

• 0-2 years relevant experience required.

• Basic understanding of UX research methods and practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Curiosity, empathy, and a willingness to learn.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Familiarity with tools like Lyssna, HeyMarvin, Figma, or research platforms (e.g., User Testing, Dovetail, Optimal Workshop).

• Exposure to accessibility and inclusive design principles.

• Ability to create simple research deliverables (personas, journey maps, slide decks).
