About the Role Taft is looking for a team-oriented associate to join our Employee Benefits group in its Cleveland, Denver, Cincinnati, or Indianapolis office. The role requires at least three years of experience handling ERISA, employee benefit, and executive compensation matters, with responsibility for designing, drafting, and supporting defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, ESOPs, employee welfare plans, and executive compensation programs, as well as merger and acquisition support.
What You'll Do
- Provide design, drafting, and support for defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, ESOPs, employee welfare plans, and executive compensation programs.
- Advise on ERISA, tax, and related laws pertaining to employee benefit plans.
- Support merger and acquisition activity related to employee benefits matters.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing; conduct research; manage multiple projects with strong organization and time management.
What We're Looking For
- At least three years of experience handling ERISA, employee benefits, and executive compensation matters.
- Strong oral, research, and written communication skills; strong organizational, time management, and project management.
- Broad understanding of ERISA, tax, and related laws pertaining to employee benefit plans.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment; location flexibility to Cleveland, Denver, Cincinnati, or Indianapolis.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $185,000-$235,000 per year.
