About this role

About the Role The Associate Electrical Engineer will support high-voltage substation projects (up to 765 kV) in engineering detailed design and EPC delivery, applying protection & control concepts and integrating with procurement and construction teams. You will translate client requirements into deliverables, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help ensure on-time, on-budget project execution. What You'll Do

  • Support a variety of substation projects up to 765 kV in engineering detailed design and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
  • Develop protection and control deliverables: protective relays, panel arrangements, one-line/single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, relay panel wiring, and equipment wiring within high voltage substation designs
  • Develop physical design deliverables: yard layout plans, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, and auxiliary AC/DC power systems
  • Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction
  • Correspond with clients, vendors, and subcontractors; travel to client/vendor offices and project sites for design reviews and field verification
  • Adhere to project budgets and schedules; perform QA/QC responsibilities
  • Provide support to business development or pursuit activities
  • Mentor entry-level professionals and interns; assign tasks and provide guidance What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-recognized program (home country or country in which practicing)
  • Minimum of 1 year related work experience
  • High voltage (HV) substation design experience preferred
  • Protection & Controls Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certification preferred
  • Proficient with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to interact with clients, vendors and internal teams Nice to Have
  • High voltage substation design experience (physical and/or Protection & Controls)
  • EIT Certification
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Compensation & Benefits
