About the Role The Associate Director, Network Contracting leads strategic contracting initiatives with healthcare networks to optimize access, value, and patient outcomes. This senior role drives contract design, negotiation strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to align network capabilities with organizational goals.
What You'll Do
- Lead development and negotiation of network contracts with providers and payers to secure favorable terms while maintaining provider relationships.
- Collaborate with clinical, legal, compliance, and finance teams to implement contract terms and ensure ongoing compliance and performance.
- Analyze financial models, utilization data, and market benchmarks to inform negotiation strategy and network design.
- Manage vendor relationships, performance metrics, and renewal timelines; mentor junior staff.
- Support governance, risk assessment, and strategic planning related to network contracting initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred (e.g., health administration, business, or equivalent).
- Significant experience in network contracting, payer agreements, or health plan contracting; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial modeling skills; proficiency with data tools.
- Knowledge of contract law, regulatory requirements, and risk management in healthcare.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and people leadership skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with value-based or multi-year contracting.
- Background in health economics, ROI analysis, or network adequacy.
- Experience working with large multispecialty networks or integrated delivery systems.
