Job title: Associate Director - Math

About the Role The AoPS Academy Associate Director at the Johns Creek campus oversees campus operations, teaches weekly math classes, and collaborates with the Campus Director on hiring and training part-time staff. This full-time, year-round role includes the academic year and summer. The ideal candidate combines leadership and math expertise with strong classroom management and communication skills to teach the advanced curriculum and coach instructors.

What You'll Do

  • Teach AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation-oriented classes, actively engaging students and managing the classroom.
  • Participate in hiring and training of part-time staff.
  • Assist with campus administrative, logistical, and customer service operations.
  • Support campus enrollment and sales by meeting with prospective families to assess a student's academic ability, determine overall fit, and explain the benefits of our program.
  • Counsel current students and families as needed to provide student support.
  • Design and implement campus community-building activities to build a strong campus culture and support high student retention.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred to be in education or a field closely related to their subject area.
  • Advanced degree related to subject area preferred.
  • Strong content knowledge in math.
  • Minimum 1-year teaching experience, with experience working with advanced K-12 students preferred.
  • Strong organizational and priority management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills and pedagogical instincts.
  • Leadership/management experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading teams or campus operations.
  • Experience coaching/instructing other instructors.
  • Passion for education and building campus culture.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: USD 66,075 - 67,656 per year.
