About this role

Job title: Associate Director, International Technology Product Lead

About the Role This is a unique, high-autonomy role designed for someone who thrives as a regional technology leader operating at the intersection of global strategy and local execution. As the International Technology Product Lead, you will be the single point of contact between Medical Affairs Technology (MAT) and the International Medical Affairs region — ensuring that the best tools, technology, and processes developed globally deliver value across Asia (China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan) and the Intercontinental region (Latin America, Middle East, Africa, and emerging markets). Based in APAC, you will partner with global Technology Capability Leads and Technology Product Leads across content, field and digital, and AI to translate global platform decisions into region-specific deployments. You will coordinate with regional implementation partners, navigate local regulatory and compliance requirements, and advocate for international needs within the global technology roadmap. You will work in close alignment with global capability leads who own platform strategy, and you will bridge the gap between what global builds and what the region needs — ensuring localization, configuration, training, and adoption happen quickly and with quality.

What You'll Do

  • Bridge Global Technology Strategy and Regional Execution: serve as the primary liaison between global MAT capability leads and International Medical Affairs teams across Asia and the Intercontinental region, ensuring global technology investments deliver value in each market.
  • Translate global platform decisions into region-specific deployment plans, accounting for local regulatory requirements, language needs, compliance environments, and user workflows.
  • Coordinate regional technology rollouts across content management, CRM, digital engagement, medical information, and AI capabilities in partnership with the relevant global Technology Product Leads.
  • Identify gaps between global platform capabilities and regional needs; advocate within the global roadmap for enhancements, configurations, or localization efforts for international markets.
  • Maintain a clear view of deployment status, adoption metrics, and outstanding needs across all international markets to keep global leadership informed.
  • Partner with International Medical Affairs Stakeholders: Build strong relationships with regional leaders across Asia and the Intercontinental region; translate workflows, pain points, and strategic priorities into technology requirements for action.
  • Drive user adoption, training, and change management for global platforms deployed regionally; navigate multiple countries with different languages, regulatory frameworks, compliance standards, and levels of technology maturity.
  • Represent the International region’s voice in global MAT planning, governance, and prioritization discussions.

What We're Looking For

  • Deep pharma experience within the Asia or Intercontinental region.
  • Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is highly preferred.
  • Ability to operate independently across time zones, cultures, and organizational boundaries with credibility and influence.
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technology requirements and to advocate for localization and configuration in the global roadmap.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory, data residency, and compliance considerations across international markets.
