Job Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Corporate Finance & Capital Markets Associate to support the origination and execution of corporate finance, project finance, infrastructure and capital markets transactions.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for financial modelling, valuation, transaction execution, client engagement, market analysis and preparation of high-quality advisory materials for senior management and clients.
Key Responsibilities

Build financial models and valuations for M&A, disposals, capital raises and restructurings.

Prepare investment memoranda, pitch materials, information memoranda and investor presentations.

Execute project finance and infrastructure transactions, including debt sizing, coverage ratios, sensitivities and downside analysis.

Assess project bankability, risk allocation, concessions, PPPs, tariffs and offtake arrangements.

Support debt and equity capital markets transactions, including bonds, commercial paper, private placements and listings.

Coordinate due diligence, advisers, data rooms, transaction documentation and closing processes.

Develop relationships with clients, sponsors, lenders, DFIs, funds and institutional investors.

Screen and develop new opportunities and maintain a qualified transaction pipeline.

Prepare papers and recommendations for the CEO and Chairman.

Ensure compliance with applicable SEC rules, the Investments and Securities Act 2025, KYC/AML and internal governance requirements.

Maintain strict confidentiality and high professional standards across all engagements.

Job Requirements
-
5–7 years' relevant experience, ideally in investment banking, private equity, project finance, infrastructure, asset management or transaction advisory.

Minimum three completed transactions involving capital raising, M&A or project finance.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or another quantitative discipline.

CFA Level II+, ACA, ACCA or ICAN is an advantage.

Strong three-statement modelling, valuation and financial analysis skills.

Practical understanding of the Nigerian capital markets and regulatory environment.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Bloomberg or similar platforms is an advantage.

Strong analytical, communication, client-management and presentation skills.

Demonstrated judgement, ownership, discretion and ability to work independently.
Ideal Candidate:
- We are looking for someone already doing this work in an investment bank, issuing house, private equity/infrastructure fund, institutional investor, development finance institution, bank project finance team or leading transaction advisory practice.
