About the Role Segal McCambridge is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our warranty defense litigation team. This role offers hands-on experience under mentorship from seasoned partners, with opportunities to take significant responsibility in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll help move cases from start to finish, including drafting briefs, discovery, and trial contributions.
What You'll Do
- Draft briefs and motions, manage discovery, take depositions, and appear in court.
- Contribute at trial and help move cases from start to finish.
- Collaborate with partners on strategy, research, and client communications.
- Manage case deadlines and maintain high-quality legal work and client relationships.
What We're Looking For
- Active California Bar License.
- Minimum 1 year civil defense litigation experience, including pleadings, motion practice, depositions, written discovery, and case management.
- Experience with California Warranty Law, including the Song-Beverly Act, preferred but not required.
- Exceptional research, writing, and advocacy skills; ability to handle multiple deadlines.
- Self-starter with ownership mentality.
Nice to Have
- Experience with California Warranty Law including Song-Beverly Act and related statutes preferred, but not required.
