About this role
About the Role Associate Account Executive (AAE) at Navan is the strategic partner to our Senior Account Executives on 6- and 7-figure deals. This elite “sales school" is designed for ambitious professionals ready to move from transactional cycles to complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise software sales. The role features a 15-month runway, with a focus on the German-speaking DACH market and Navan's training to master modern enterprise selling. What You'll Do
- Serve as strategic partner to Senior AEs on complex enterprise deals, focusing on 6- and 7-figure opportunities.
- Conduct deep strategic account mapping with org-chart research to identify pain points and map Navan’s value to the customer's bottom line.
- Partner with Senior AEs to conduct targeted outreach to C-suite stakeholders; co-drive the business case beyond merely setting meetings.
- Execute deal strategy, navigate the political landscape, and move deals toward Closed-Won.
- Perform intelligence gathering to identify Economic Buyer, Champion, and other key stakeholders.
- Learn and apply the MEDDPICC framework, Executive Navigation, and the Enterprise Playbook through Navan's training program. What We're Looking For
- Strategic Mindset: initial full-time experience in Consulting, M&A, Private Equity, or Strategy, with the ability to ask second- and third-layer questions to uncover the real problem.
- Language Mastery: C2 fluency in German and at least B2 in English; capable of navigating complex business negotiations in both languages.
- Unrivaled Drive: self-starter with a founder mentality — fixes broken processes and finds windows when doors close.
- Strategic Thinking: ability to analyze a global corporation and deduce which stakeholders need to be involved and what their incentives are.
- Executive Presence: comfortable and articulate with VPs and C-Suite executives; you trade in value, not just features. Compensation & Benefits
- Navan offers a comprehensive benefits program tailored by country, including healthcare coverage, insurance offerings, wellness resources for you and your family, retirement savings programs, and opportunities to participate in equity plans.
- Flexible time off, country-specific holidays, paid parental leave for new parents, connectivity and commuting support, mental health resources, and exclusive travel-related perks.
- In-office perks and a policy of four days in the office per week to support collaboration; global office spaces across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
- The Culture of Excellence and awards (e.g., Best Place to Work by Built In; G2 Best Global Software Company; Forbes Cloud 100; CNBC Disruptor 50) reflect Navan's commitment to excellence and career growth.
