About the Role The Criminal Justice Administration faculty position at Wilberforce University is a full-time academic appointment in the Division of Academic Affairs, reporting to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. The role combines teaching, scholarly activity, and service to the university and community. The position is face-to-face and begins in Fall 2026.
What You'll Do
- Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching a broad range of Criminal Justice
- Advise and mentor undergraduate Criminal Justice
- Engage in scholarly research activities including writing grants
- Serve on departmental and university committees and engage in other forms of service to the university and academic community
What We're Looking For
- Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or related discipline; ABDs considered but must have a conferred Ph.D. by August 1, 2026
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience
- Ability to fulfill teaching and service responsibilities at a small Liberal Arts University with an entrepreneurial focus
