About the Role The College of Health Professions at Long Island University, Post Campus invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor for the MSW Collaborative Program. The MSW program, originally accredited by CSWE in 2003, is primarily an evening program and prepares graduates for Clinical and Administrative practice, with specializations in Child and Family Welfare, Forensic Social Work, and Substance Use and Addictive Behaviors. The successful candidate will primarily join the MSW Program but may be interested in teaching across the curriculum and/or across programs such as the BSSW Program. The candidate should be able to work with individuals and communities of diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
What You'll Do
- Teach MSW courses in the collaboration program, primarily in the evening
- Contribute to curriculum development and program planning; may teach across the curriculum and/or across programs, with primary assignment to the MSW Program
- Engage in scholarship, conduct fundable research, and publish
- Collaborate with colleagues to address student needs and support diverse populations
What We're Looking For
- Required: MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited college/university with at least three years postgraduate practice experience
- PhD or DSW in social work or a related field
- Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
- Familiarity with virtual learning environments and course management systems (hybrid/blended teaching) or willingness to train
- Ability to conduct fundable research and publish
- Preferred: Experience in leadership roles or an interest in developing academic leadership potential

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $76,971 - $96,077 per year
