Job title: Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor

About the Role The University of the Pacific, School of Health Sciences is seeking to hire master’s degree or doctorally prepared registered nurses to join the ELMSN program in a non-tenure track position at the Assistant, Associate, Full, or Clinical Professor rank. The role emphasizes teaching, student advising, simulation, curriculum development, interprofessional education, and accreditation activities, with opportunities for research and scholarly work.

What You'll Do

  • Teach ELMSN program content in both didactic and clinical settings
  • Advise students and participate in simulation, curriculum development, and interprofessional education
  • Oversee clinical adjuncts and placement of students in clinical agencies
  • Manage required clinical documentation through a tracking system
  • Assist with student and part-time faculty orientation and accreditation preparation activities
  • Attend program, curriculum, and campus committee meetings
  • Handle additional responsibilities such as contacting clinical agencies, orienting and evaluating part-time faculty, and interviewing prospective students
  • Engage in effective teaching, interprofessional collaboration, research, creative activity, and service to the University
  • Engage in program operations and accreditation activities relevant to ELMSN

What We're Looking For

  • Master’s degree in nursing, clinical research, health sciences, or related field
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in pharmacology, pathophysiology, biomedical sciences, or health sciences
  • Commitment to effective teaching and interprofessional collaboration

Nice to Have

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD, DrPH, or related)
  • Experience teaching research, epidemiology, population health, evidence-based practice, or community health in higher education
  • Record of scholarship (publications, presentations, grants, quality improvement initiatives)
  • Experience with data analysis, program evaluation, or community-based participatory research
  • Experience integrating population health concepts into clinical education
  • Experience in simulation, case-based learning, or innovative pedagogy
  • Experience with Canvas or LMS platforms
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hiring range: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
  • Appointment includes support for research, professional development, and scholarly activities
