Job title: Assistant/Associate Professor, Tenure-Track – Communication Sciences and Disorders
About the Role LIU Post's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the CSD program. The program is NYSED-approved and accredited by the ASHA Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA). The 61-credit master’s program features rigorous coursework and a five-course clinical sequence with over 400 hours of supervised clinical training, alongside a strong undergraduate pre-professional program. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activity within a collaborative university setting.
What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (9 credits per semester)
- Provide academic advisement and mentorship to students
- Participate in departmental, school, and inter-professional initiatives
- Engage in committee service
- Maintain an active program of research and scholarly activity
What We're Looking For
- Earned doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- A history or potential to secure extramural funding and an ongoing program of scholarship
- College-level teaching experience
- Expertise in one or more areas: pediatric speech-language development and disorders; diagnostics; stuttering

- Additional teaching experience or specialization in pediatric development, diagnostics, or stuttering
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Assistant Professor $76,971; Associate Professor $84,557 per year
