About the Role Anderson University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty member in Interior Design at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. The position emphasizes a strong Christian value system and the integration of faith and learning, with duties starting in August 2026.
What You'll Do
- Teach lower- and upper-level studio and lecture courses in Interior Design; supervise student work as needed.
- Proficiency with industry-standard digital tools: AutoCAD Architecture, REVIT, SketchUp Pro, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Enscape.
- Participate in academic program curriculum development; conduct student advisement, recruitment, and retention efforts.
- Provide collegial service to the School of Interior Design and University committees; support student chapters of ASID, IIDA, and/or other organizations.
- Engage in creative scholarship and/or applied exhibition works or publications.
What We're Looking For
- Student-centered, technologically competent, and collaborative; commitment to integrating faith and learning.
- Preference for NCIDQ certification and possession of a terminal degree in Interior Design (MFA, PhD) or a related field equivalent (MArch).
- Previous teaching experience at the university level and/or professional practice experience in Interior Design (three years preferred).
- Active professional membership in IDEC, ASID, IIDA, and/or AIA.
- Certifications such as LEED-AP or Well-AP, and other relevant registrations and licensures.
- Experience with CIDA accreditation and NASAD adherence.
- Engagement with creative scholarship, publications, or applied exhibition works.
