About the Role Mississippi College invites applications for a faculty position in Exercise Science to serve in the Department of Kinesiology beginning August 2026. The appointment will involve teaching, scholarly activity, and service within the department, school, and university, with an expectation of community and church involvement.

What You'll Do

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Exercise Physiology, Anatomical Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Fitness and Wellness, Exercise Testing and Prescription, and Nutrition/Sports Nutrition, as well as other courses within the Kinesiology umbrella.
  • Engage in scholarly activity and contribute to the discipline through research, publication, or presentation.
  • Advise undergraduate and graduate students academically.
  • Serve on departmental, school, and university committees.
  • Participate in community and church service as part of the university mission.

What We're Looking For

  • Earned doctorate in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance or related field. ABD will be considered if completion is anticipated by June 2027.
  • Demonstrated potential or experience in teaching the listed subject areas (Exercise Physiology, Anatomical Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Fitness and Wellness, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Nutrition/Sports Nutrition).
  • Ability to contribute to scholarly activity, advising, and service as described.
