The Assistant Women's Softball Pitching Coach will assist the Head Softball Coach with games, practices, recruiting prospective student-athletes, field prep requirements, as well as focusing on pitchers training and strategy. All responsibilities will be under the leadership of the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics. This is a part-time position.

Virginia Beach, VA Salary: $15,000 annually
Essential duties:
- Assisting in Practice Planning
- Running Drills and Position Groups Specific to Infield and Outfield
- Shared Field Work After Practice and Before Game Days
- First Base Coach and Specific Position Coaching for Fall Play Date and spring Games
- Recruiting - The ability to work at camps and recruiting events during summer and fall recruiting
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prerequisites for the Job:
- One or more years of successful high school, college, or private coaching experience is preferred
- Proven ability to communicate effectively one-on-one, in small groups, and in public speaking contexts
- Proven ability to communicate ideas and priorities effectively to promote teamwork and achieve desired results
- Demonstrated strategic planning skills and an ability to assess the team’s competitive strengths and vulnerabilities
- Demonstrated skill in making strategic recommendations to enhance the team’s performance
- Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule
Time Commitment:
- 24 Practice/Individual/Weights Days in the Fall plus Play Day
- Practices, Weight Training and All Games in the Spring
- Office time can be worked around other jobs/commitments if needed
