Assistant Store Manager (PT) at GUESS? Retail, located at 801 E 103rd St, Jenks, OK 74137, is responsible for elevating the customer experience, developing and coaching store staff, and maintaining store standards on the selling floor and in the stockroom. The role emphasizes leading by example, delivering training, and ensuring consistent execution of company directives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coach associates to meet company training guidelines, focusing on product knowledge, selling skills, visual merchandising, and the customer experience.
- Deliver an excellent customer experience by regularly assessing performance, providing coaching, and following up with the team to maintain high service standards.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards, adhere to directives and promotions, and keep the sales floor and stockroom clean and organized.
- Drive sales and profitability by meeting or exceeding store targets for sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion.
- Ensure operational effectiveness by meeting payroll expectations, controlling assets through loss prevention measures, and complying with all company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication, integrity and respect, adaptability to business changes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Proven track record in driving sales and profit, developing people, and/or succession planning with a rating of TD or better.
- Minimum of two years of experience with demonstrated success in driving sales and profit and in training and developing a team.
- Proficiency with personal computers and the ability to analyze detailed reports.
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting over 30 pounds.
- Scheduled shifts may require standing for at least eight hours.
