Assistant Store Manager (PT)

The Assistant Store Manager (PT) at GUESS? Retail is based at 1101 Outlet Collection Way, Space 1024, Auburn, WA 98001. This role reports to the Store Manager and assists management with all sales associates, desk associates, and stock associates. The position focuses on overseeing the customer experience, training and development of store staff, leading by example on the selling floor, and maintaining store standards on the selling floor and in the stockroom.

Responsibilities

• Develop and train associates to ensure completion of company guidelines and ongoing coaching on product knowledge, selling skills, visual merchandising, and delivering an excellent customer experience
• Provide leadership on the selling floor by exemplifying best practices, coaching, and giving feedback to improve performance
• Ensure a consistently excellent customer experience by monitoring service levels, coaching, and following up with the team
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, directives, promotions, and overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom
• Drive sales and profitability by meeting or exceeding store targets in sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion
• Manage operational effectiveness, including payroll management and adherence to loss prevention measures
• Execute and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Exercise sound judgment, communicate effectively, act with integrity and respect, and adapt to business changes
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be willing to assume and complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Proven track record in driving sales and profit, people development, and/or succession planning (rating of TD or better)
• Minimum of two years of experience with demonstrated success in driving sales and profit results and in training and developing a team
• Proficiency with personal computers and the ability to perform detailed report analysis
• High school education or equivalent preferred
• Some heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds
• Scheduled shifts may require standing for a minimum of eight hours
