Assistant Store Manager

About the Role Michael Kors is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the Los Angeles area to help lead store sales and service, develop staff, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced fashion environment.

What You'll Do

• Meet personal and store sales goals and assist in communicating business results
• Lead by example to ensure elevated sales and service across all associates
• Develop personal sales techniques and help staff improve their selling techniques to maximize sales
• Maintain sales policies and procedures and develop product knowledge among staff
• Maintain a keen interest in fashion trends and market trends
• Provide exceptional customer service and build repeat clientele through client books
• Resolve client issues quickly and effectively; assist with returns and defective merchandise
• Collaborate with store manager on risk management, security, cash controls, and inventory management
• Train staff on register usage and maintenance; understand and execute all management register functions
• Participate in inventories; manage cash handling procedures including deposits, safe funds, and petty cash
• For Offsite drivers: drive product to/from offsite location as needed
• Assist in merchandising/visual directives to maintain an organized selling floor and proper visual image
• Process deliveries promptly; communicate inventory needs to support business goals
• Assist in recruitment, training, and development of staff; support payroll integrity and HR processes
• Provide ongoing feedback to associates and ensure performance; uphold image and grooming standards consistent with the brand

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1-2 years in specialty management
• Ability to meet sales goals and drive performance; strong customer service orientation
• Leadership and team development skills; ability to train and coach staff
• Knowledge of inventory control, cash handling, and store operations
• Commitment to brand image, grooming standards, and professional appearance

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation Range: Local Minimum Wage up to 35.00 USD per hour
