About the Role As an Assistant Store Manager at Aldi US in Nashville, you’ll support store leadership with day-to-day operations, help drive store performance, manage schedules, and develop the team through training opportunities. You’ll work to align with company strategy and core values while delivering excellent customer service and operational excellence. What You'll Do
- Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
- Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
- Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports
- Model core values and foster teamwork among employees
- Monitor the competitive environment and advise adjustments to maintain competitive position
- Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue
- Participate in interviewing store personnel
- Communicate weekly information, milestones, developments, and concerns
- Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash control policies
- Resolve customer concerns in the direct leader's absence
- Identify and rectify hazards, maintain ergonomics, and keep equipment in order
- Maintain store cleanliness and signage
- Assist with stock levels via timely product ordering
- Merchandize product neatly to maximize sales
- Ensure quality and freshness and accurate signage
- Assist with payroll and loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employees
- Supervise day-to-day team operations, escalate issues as needed
- Ensure reports meet responsibilities and deliver excellent customer service
- Comply with policies and protect sensitive documents and data

- Ability to safely operate equipment (electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, cardboard baler) and perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
- Prior management experience preferred Compensation & Benefits
- Starting wage: $25.50 per hour; Year 2 wage: $26.50 per hour
