About the Role The Assistant Softball Coach supports the Head Softball Coach in leading Tuskegee University's Division II softball program, focusing on organization, development, and leadership in alignment with the university's mission and core values. What You'll Do
- Assist the head coach with instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport.
- Organize and direct individuals and small group practices and exercises as directed.
- Maintain current knowledge and adhere to all college, NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
- Assist with recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
- Demonstrate effective teaching/coaching methods and possess excellent leadership skills.
- Assist with games and practice preparations and planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- Three or more years of coaching experience at a high school or collegiate level.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Strong teaching, leadership, and communication skills.
- Physical ability to meet the demands of coaching and practices.
