Assistant Retail Store Manager (Full-Time)

About the Role Join Western National Parks as a Full-Time Assistant Retail Store Manager for Sabino Canyon National Recreation Area in Tucson, Arizona. You will oversee day-to-day retail operations, deliver excellent guest service, and collaborate with USFS and WNP to support education, research, and public lands engagement. What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day retail store operations and provide exceptional visitor and customer service.
• Manage store inventory, facilities, and other assets; maintain clean, appealing merchandising.
• Train, lead, and retain staff; supervise volunteers and staff.
• Monitor and drive store initiatives to meet financial goals; analyze P&L and budgets.
• Conduct physical inventory cycles and year-end counts to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with USFS and WNP Home Office to develop educational retail products.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly sales monitoring and reporting.
• Act as an ambassador of WNP and the USFS to ensure meaningful visitor experiences.
• Travel occasional local events or engagements as needed. What We're Looking For
• High School diploma or GED.
• Prior retail and POS system experience (preferred).
• Prior supervisory experience (preferred).
• Valid REAL ID driver’s license.
• Computer skills including Internet, databases, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of office equipment including computers, printers, calculators, multiline phones, and filing systems.
• Planning, organization, analyzation, problem solving, multitasking, and communication.
• Knowledge of applicable Federal and state laws and professional business standards.
• Ability to pass U.S. Forest Service/USDA background check and Western National Parks’ independent employment screening. Nice to Have
• Experience with USFS or public lands partnerships (preferred). Compensation & Benefits
• Salary range: $21.00 - $24.50 per hour.
