Assistant Restaurant Manager
Job Description
Job Purpose
Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for the daily management of the restaurant, ensuring that the highest standards of food & beverage service is provided to the guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and implement 25hours brand promise, brand pillars, brand characters, and brand icons
- Analyze and submit month-end reports identifying deviations from business plan goals
- Implement and maintain control measures to ensure food & beverage costs, productivity, labour costs and operating supply costs remain in line with budget
- Conduct daily departmental briefings to ensure all pertinent information is communicated to team members
- Supervise team members to ensure all assigned tasks are completed on time and to departmental standards
- Build strong relationships with guests and regular patrons, providing personalized service
- Handle guest complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently
- Manage cashier and bar operations in accordance with company policies
- Monitor equipment supply and stock levels to prevent operational shortages
- Ensure outlet and back-of-house cleanliness complies with food & beverage sanitation and hygiene regulations
- Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage services, contents, preparation methods and hotel features
- Ensure health, safety and security procedures are in place and followed
- Perform proper handover and communication to the next shift
- Interview, select and recruit outlet employees
- Identify and develop team members with potential for advancement
- Conduct performance reviews and monitor team members' professionalism and appearance
- Develop and conduct staff training programs focused on skill development and business needs
- Prepare weekly staff schedules based on anticipated business volume and operating budgets
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity

Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Service oriented with an eye for details

Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word

Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times

Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage
