Federal College of Education, Yola, Assistant Registrar (Legal Officer)
The Federal College of Education, Yola, was established in 1974, as a middle level teacher training institution. Hitherto, it was known as Federal Advanced Teachers’ College (FATC), Yola. However, actual academic activities commenced during the 1975/1976 session, with a total of one hundred and fifty (150) students under the leadership of the Pioneer Principal Mr. C. Pollock, an expatriate. At that time, the College was under the supervision of Federal Ministry of Education. Mr. Pollock as the pioneer Principal laid a solid foundation for the smooth take off of the College. He completed his tenure in 1982.
Location: Yola, Adamawa Department: Administrative / Registrar Officer Cadre Requirements: Candidates must possess a minimum of a Second Class Honours Degree in Law from a recognized institution of higher learning, plus an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. The candidate must also possess relevant cognate work experience and evidence of membership of a relevant professional body and should demonstrate good knowledge of computers.
In addition, candidates should have the following: Evidence of NYSC Discharge or Exemption certificate; Evidence of Registration with TRCN; Demonstration of good knowledge of computers; Demonstrated ability to offer academic and administrative leadership; Demonstrable ability to initiate and supervise applied research/project/exhibition; Evidence of continuous research/invention/innovation in the area of specialization; Successful external assessment; Evidence of community service.
