About the Role
Lees-McRae College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design in the School of Arts and Humanities. The successful candidate will teach a full range of graphic design and digital media courses, contribute to the growth of graphic design as a program specialization, and collaborate with the Program Coordinator to maintain and upgrade facilities. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is required; preference given to those with innovative approaches to teaching general education courses. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty appointment. What You'll Do

Teach a 4/4 course load (24 credit hours per academic year) on a regular contract.

Teach up to an additional 6 credit hours during the PEAK Intensive May term on an every-other-year basis, paid via a separate contract.

Advise students, maintain regular office hours, and support student success.

Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to maintain and upgrade classroom facilities.

Participate in campus committees and engage in recruitment and outreach within the campus and local community.

Meet institutional standards for syllabus development, classroom management, instructional technology use, grade reporting, and records management.

Teach PEAK intensive experiential interdisciplinary courses during May term on a rotating schedule.

Engage in ongoing professional development and promote undergraduate research opportunities.

Serve on committees at the School, College, and Faculty Senate levels; contribute to service in the broader community and discipline.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities. What We're Looking For
