About the Role The Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in Accountancy. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, contribute to curriculum and program development, engage in scholarly research, and participate in accreditation and service activities to support the college's mission.
What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, support Accountancy and MBA programs, and contribute to curriculum development and assurance of learning; incorporate analytics and AI into teaching; foster experiential learning; provide advising and mentoring; maintain regular office hours; communicate effectively with students and advisees.
- Conduct original research and publish in refereed journals; maintain active research agenda; share expertise with academic and business communities through presentations, white papers, and industry engagement.
- Engage in service at the school, college, and university levels; participate in recruitment and retention efforts; attend meetings; oversee program/industry advisory boards; represent the program at regional events; help raise the college and university brand.
What We're Looking For
- Assistant Professor: Ph.D. or terminal degree in Accountancy or closely related field by start date; must meet AACSB Scholarly Academic standard; show potential for teaching excellence and service.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. or terminal degree in Accountancy or closely related field; must meet AACSB Scholarly Academic standards; minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience; meet CBA/bylaws minimum scholarship/teaching requirements for rank.
- Preferred: Ph.D. from an AACSB-accredited institution; knowledge of AI in accounting; real-world business experience; teaching, consulting, defense, or corporate accounting experience.
