Job title: Assistant Professor of Finance

About the Role The Assistant Professor of Finance in the School of Business will teach undergraduate and graduate courses (online or in-person), conduct research and creative activity, participate in recruitment and service activities, and contribute to the mission of Lincoln Memorial University, the School of Business, and the Department. The position reports to the Chair of Undergraduate Programs and is based on LMU's main campus in Harrogate, Tennessee.

What You'll Do

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses online or in-person as assigned.
• Conduct research and scholarly activity, publish findings, and pursue grant development as appropriate.
• Participate in recruitment of undergraduate students to the BBA programs and other school programs.
• Serve on dissertation committees and mentor graduate students; chair dissertations where appropriate.
• Engage in university, school, and department service; participate in committees; and represent the program in accreditation and assessment activities.
• Maintain records, complete required reports, and ensure compliance with university policies and standards.
• Provide academic advisement, conduct office hours, and manage textbook requests.
• Teach assigned courses and contribute to curriculum development and program assessment; support the university's strategic plan.
• Stay current with professional development and engage in scholarly activity, publication, and grant development.
• Provide information for enrollment, assessment, and retention reports as directed; participate in faculty evaluations and annual reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• A Ph.D. or doctorate in the appropriate business discipline as required by the teaching assignment or other equivalent degree.
• Demonstrated effective teaching experience and dissertation committee involvement at a regionally accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to work with both undergraduate and graduate students and to contribute to program development and accreditation efforts.
• Preferred: evidence of effective teaching; evidence of scholarly activity; demonstrated success in chairing student dissertations.
