About this role

About the Role The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Department of Family and Community Medicine is recruiting an Assistant Professor of Clinical to provide clinical services at University Health Services and contribute to teaching at the Christ Hospital/UC Family Medicine Residency program. The role includes supervising and teaching osteopathic and allopathic residents in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMT) and delivering patient care within the Family Medicine Center.

What You'll Do

  • Provide primary and urgent care, along with women’s health care, at University Health Services; participate in on-call duties prorated by FTE.
  • Provide direct patient care with a focus on OMT in a family medicine outpatient setting at the FMC; re-establish and maintain an OMT referral clinic serving patients across the lifespan for musculoskeletal and somatic dysfunction concerns; attend weekly DFMC practice meetings.
  • Teach and contribute to a positive learning environment; serve as a resource for healthcare workers in area of clinical expertise; provide hands-on OMT instruction in didactic and clinical settings.
  • Mentor osteopathic and allopathic residents in the principles and techniques of osteopathic medicine; contribute to the OMT curriculum development (workshops, lectures, patient care teaching, longitudinal integration of OMT principles); work one-on-one with medical students and residents to teach ambulatory primary care.
  • Engage in scholarship, innovation, and leadership activities; opportunities for leadership may be based on experience and career goals.

What We're Looking For

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) in a related field.
  • Unrestricted Ohio Medical license and DEA license prior to the start date.
  • Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine Residency Program.
