Job title: Assistant Professor of Biology, Anatomy & Physiology
About the Role The Department of Biology & Chemistry at Lincoln Memorial University invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor of Biology in Anatomy and Physiology. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Physiology, Anatomy, or a closely related discipline and will contribute to teaching, scholarship, and service to support the university, school, and department missions. The role includes participation in LMU's New Faculty Academy and a first-year period of moderated scholarship and service with mentoring support from a department-appointed faculty mentor.
What You'll Do
- Teach courses such as General Physiology, Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II, and other courses in support of the department's curriculum.
- Engage in teaching, scholarship, and service; participate in LMU’s New Faculty Academy; receive mentorship during the first year.
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and student mentorship as needed.
What We're Looking For
- PhD in Physiology, Anatomy, or a closely related discipline; educational preparation in accordance with requirements of the University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
- Evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.
- Preferred: college-level teaching experience.
