Job title: Assistant Professor - Kinesiology
About the Role Abilene Christian University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program. This 9-month full-time tenure-track position begins August 9, 2026 and requires a doctoral degree. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, mentor students, and foster experiential learning within a Christ-centered environment, supporting ACU's mission.
What You'll Do
- Teach a variety of Kinesiology courses in the B.S. in Kinesiology program, both in the classroom and laboratory.
- Mentor undergraduate students and support experiential learning and interprofessional education.
- Contribute to maintaining a Christ-centered environment and high-quality undergraduate education.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to support program development and student success.
What We're Looking For
- Doctoral degree is required.
- Must be a professing Christian and active member of a congregation of the Churches of Christ and willing to support the Christian mission of ACU.
- Ability to teach a range of Kinesiology courses and a strong commitment to undergraduate student education.
- 9-month full-time tenure-track appointment starting August 9, 2026.
