About the Role Join Regent University’s School of Divinity as a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Christian Ministry/Practical Theology. The appointment is based at the Virginia Beach campus and aims to advance Christ-centered teaching, scholarly scholarship, and faith-based ministry within the university’s mission. What You'll Do
- Teach graduate-level courses in Christian Ministry/Practical Theology.
- Conduct and publish scholarly research in relevant fields.
- Contribute to ministry-focused teaching and service aligned with the School of Divinity and University Identity and Mission statements.
- Engage with online instructional technology to deliver courses.
- Uphold Regent's statement of faith. What We're Looking For
- Ordained minister with at least five years of pastoral experience in the local church.
- Teaching experience in higher education at the undergraduate level; master's and doctoral teaching experience is a plus.
- Track record of scholarly research in Christian Ministry or Practical Theology.
- Applied or academic doctoral degree in Christian Ministry or Practical Theology (D.Min., Ph.D., etc.).
- Demonstrated commitment to Christ-centered teaching and learning; evidence of faithful ministry and a potential for academic scholarship; ability to teach graduate-level courses; familiarity with online instructional technology; willingness to embrace the School of Divinity and University Identity and Mission statements and Regent University's statement of faith. Nice to Have
