The Biology Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Evolutionary Ecology at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will teach five course credits per year, including: (1) an upper-level course in evolutionary biology with a lab (together counting as two teaching credits), (2) an upper-level elective in their specialty (e.g., a seminar), (3) supervising senior thesis research, and (4) rotating between teaching a uniquely themed lecture section of introductory biology and a 200-level lecture in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. An ongoing research program involving undergraduates is expected. The candidate’s teaching and research program will contribute to our college's interdisciplinary program in Environmental Studies.
