Assistant Professor – Educator (non-tenure track)

About the Role The School of Criminal Justice - Law and Paralegal Studies at the University of Cincinnati seeks an Assistant Professor – Educator (non-tenure track) to teach and engage in professional or creative activities. The appointment begins August 15, 2026 (negotiable) and is a 9-month per year teaching position. The role will support enrollment growth and ensure program compliance with the ABA Guidelines for Approval of Paralegal Programs. What You'll Do

• Teach courses in the Law and Paralegal Studies program and perform other professional or creative activities (e.g., oversee field placement activities, work with student organizations).
• Support the university's mission and contribute to excellence for students, faculty, staff, and programs.
• Help expand and grow enrollment for the program.
• Ensure program compliance with ABA Guidelines for Approval of Paralegal Programs (ABA Guidelines). What We're Looking For
• Juris Doctorate (JD) and active license to practice law.
• Experience working with or as paralegals; minimum of three years of work experience in the legal field.
