Job Summary

A full-time faculty position in the Psychology Department, at the assistant or associate level, starting AY 2027–2028. Though candidates with any psychology-related specialty are encouraged to apply, we are particularly interested in candidates who can teach courses related to statistics and research methodology.

Primary Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in the Psychology Department with a primary focus on courses related to statistics and research, including Statistics and Research Design, Research Methods, and other courses based on the candidate’s qualifications.
• Mentor and advise undergraduate students in the Psychology Department and collaborate with faculty to foster student and program success.
• Conduct scholarly work in the form of research and/or service to the profession while maintaining active memberships in relevant professional associations.
• Serve on departmental and university committees.

Qualifications

• An earned terminal degree (master’s degree required; doctorate preferred) in Psychology or a closely related field.

• A demonstrated active and growing Christian faith.

• Strong support for Christian liberal arts education, with the ability to integrate faith and discipline in an engaging and compelling manner.

• Collaborative skills to work effectively with colleagues in the department and across the University

• The university offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and retirement plans, a tuition waiver program, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth. Salary range: $50,000 - $65,000 with room for negotiations. Rank and salary based on qualifications, education, and work experience.

• Candidates will be joining a vibrant, growing, and highly engaged department. Psychology remains one of the largest and most dynamic majors at Judson University. In addition to the undergraduate major, the department offers a minor in Criminal Justice and works closely with Judson's accredited Master’s in Clinical Counseling. Through our innovative Bridge Program, qualified students can take graduate-level courses during their junior and senior years. This enables students to complete nearly a full year of graduate coursework during their undergraduate studies, providing significant financial savings and accelerating their pathway toward clinical licensure.
