Job title: Assistant or Associate Professor of Management

About the Role Doane University's School of Business and Leadership (SBL) seeks a full-time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Management to teach at our Crete and Lincoln campuses. The SBL is ACBSP-accredited and serves undergraduate and graduate students; the role emphasizes teaching excellence, scholarship, and faculty development. Anticipated start date is August 2027, with a 9-month salary.

What You'll Do

• Teach up to 24 credit hours per academic year across a variety of management courses for undergraduate and graduate students, using online and in-person modalities. Location may include Crete residential campus and Lincoln non-residential campus.
• Engage students through effective instruction, assessment, and mentoring across multiple modalities.
• Contribute to scholarly activity, service, and continuous improvement efforts within the SBL, including curriculum and program development.
• Areas of faculty interest desired include strategy, entrepreneurship, human resources, change management, and project management.

What We're Looking For

• Ph.D. or DBA in Management earned or in progress; academically qualified to meet ACBSP accreditation standards.
• Successful experience as an instructor in management.
• Commitment to ongoing professional activity and scholarship.
• Knowledge of methods to effectively instruct, motivate, and evaluate undergraduate and graduate students; ability to teach across modalities.
• Willingness to engage in faculty scholarly and service activities and participate in continuous improvement efforts within the SBL.

Nice to Have

• Relevant industry experience.
• Experience teaching undergraduate, graduate, face-to-face, and online courses.

Compensation & Benefits

• 9-month salary: $73,542 – $90,780.
