Job title: Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance
About the Role Doane University’s School of Business and Leadership (SBL) is seeking a full-time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance to teach a mix of undergraduate and graduate finance courses across Crete and Lincoln campuses, with online modalities possible. The SBL is ACBSP-accredited and emphasizes teaching, scholarship, and faculty development.
What You'll Do
- Teach up to 24 credit hours per academic year across a variety of finance courses, with online and in-person modalities, serving students at Crete and Lincoln campuses.
- Engage in scholarly activities and service within the School of Business and Leadership, and participate in continuous improvement efforts within SBL.
- Collaborate with undergraduate and graduate programs and contribute to curriculum development.
- Demonstrate expertise in areas such as corporate finance, fintech, investments, financial planning, and business valuation.
- Anticipated start date: August 2027.
What We're Looking For
- Ph.D. or DBA in Finance earned or in progress; academically qualified to meet ACBSP accreditation standards.
- Successful experience as an instructor in finance; demonstrated ability to teach across a variety of modalities and to instruct, motivate, and evaluate undergraduate and graduate students.
- Commitment to ongoing professional activity and scholarship; willingness to engage in scholarly activities and service; participation in continuous improvement of the School of Business and Leadership.

- Undergraduate, graduate, face-to-face, and online teaching experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: 9-month salary range of $92,500 – $112,000.
- Salary type: yearly.
