About the Role Thiel College seeks an intern to support the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach in developing the men’s soccer program. The role reports to the Director of Soccer / Head Men’s & Women’s Soccer Coach and the Director of Athletics. The intern will assist with organization, supervision, and student-athlete development on and off the field, with a focus on overseeing the program’s JV team. What You'll Do
- Assist the Head Coach with organization and supervision of the men’s soccer program
- Coach and teach instructional skills, tactical concepts, and player development
- Recruit quality student-athletes with a commitment to academic and athletic success
- Mentor and support student-athletes throughout the academic year
- Assist with scouting and match preparation
- Assist with planning and implementation of training sessions
- Assist with fundraising activities, camps, clinics, and community engagement opportunities
- Assist with travel coordination, equipment management, and operational duties
- Assist with social media content creation and program branding initiatives
- Serve as a gameday administrator as assigned
- Follow all NCAA Division III, Presidents’ Athletic Conference, and Thiel College rules and regulations
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and positive representation of Thiel College
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Director of Soccer / Head Coach What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Nice to Have
- Collegiate coaching and/or recruiting experience.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and relationship-building skills.
