Assistant Manager (Warehouse Operations)
Overview
Layelle Africa is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Warehouse Operations Manager in coordinating daily warehouse activities, supervising staff, managing orders, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise warehouse activities and staff and allocate daily tasks.
- Coordinate sorting, picking, packing, and preparation of orders for dispatch.
- Support receiving, arrangement, movement, and inventory tracking of goods.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and operational issues.
- Coordinate with couriers and logistics personnel on dispatches.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Assist with operational reports, customer/order-related issues, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations, logistics, retail operations, or a related role.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Good organizational, multitasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate a team.
- Strong attention to detail when handling orders and inventory.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to maintain operational records.
- Reliable, responsible, and willing to take a hands-on approach.
- Candidates must reside within Baruwa, Ayobo, Ipaja, or nearby environs.
