About the Role
Assistant Manager oversees all aspects of running a Kwik Trip retail/food location, balancing guest service with store operations. This role includes hiring, training, and scheduling 20–60 coworkers, kitchen responsibilities, food safety, inventory, P&L oversight, and maintaining a clean, inviting store. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on mentoring others and driving profitability.
What You'll Do
- Hire, train, and schedule 20–60 coworkers
- Must be willing to work in the kitchen and uphold food safety standards
- Manage ordering, inventory control, and P&Ls
- Maintain cleanliness and stocking; ensure a clean, inviting store
- Resolve coworker and customer concerns; mentor others
- Lead in a fast-paced environment; problem solve and shift priorities as needed

- Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $54,500.00 to $81,800.00 per year (USD)
- Profit sharing: Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability

- Schedule: Assistant Managers are typically scheduled 45 hours during a 5-day work-week and receive time and half for any additional hours over 40 in a week
