It plays a key role in delivering IT solutions across countries while driving execution from India. The center strengthens Arval’s digital transformation by aligning its capabilities with international IT needs.

Arval is car renting company with Services, for professional entities and more recently, opened to retail market. Serving 30 countries with the goal of being the best in class both for customer satisfaction and innovation (Partnership, new technologies, etc.). Arval IT is the IT department of the company. The Mission of IT "Daytona" Tribe is to provide a Leasing system for all the high-growth countries in the EM, Asia and Latin America regions (Brazil, Turkey, Romania, Morocco, Greece, Chile, Peru and Colombia) having a mission Develop/Maintain the core application along with all the needed interfaces we should provide to complete the IT Ecosystem

Position Purpose: Java Full Stack Developer

The Full stack java developer is a member of the development team who is responsible for the code of applications in each product.

They oversee or carry out the design and production of quality software solutions in accordance with the best practices (maintainable, secure, documented, scalable, testable and in line with the business line’s needs).

As a Java Full Stack Developer, they will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the applications using Java and Angular for both internal and external users.

This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional IT and Business teams to deliver robust software solutions that meet business needs. The ideal candidate needs to be proficient in both front-end and back-end development, Oracle PL/SQL, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing for high performance, scalable applications

Responsibilities

• Direct Responsibilities

• Participate to all the Agile ceremonies of the squad (Dailys, Sprint plannings, backlog refinements, reviews, etc…)

• Communicate ASAP on the blocking points

• Develop the need for the squad/product

• Delivery of solutions (predominantly code) to a high standard in line with requirements, measured by minimal defects

• Contribute actively to the process of continuous improvement and innovation

• Contributing Responsibilities

• Accountable to deliver the amount of Jira tickets assigned to the developer during a sprint

• Taking an active approach to development of higher quality and increased maintainability of business solutions.

• Optimize existing code and improve its maintainability

• Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Be autonomous on their asset (Senior to Expert level) and motivated on the daily tasks.

• Be an active member of the squad (often multi-technologies).

• Be proactive by raising alerts when they’re flagged, try to understand the global context and suggest how to solve an issue (without focusing only on subparts). It will also help to understand better the rest of the team (who will not necessarily work on the same tool).

• Have proper communication with the Business. (English language).

Specific Qualifications: Business and/or technical skills:

• Knowledge of programming languages and front-end + backend development technologies (Java, Angular, REST APIs and others)

• Technical Expertise: 5 + years of software development (backend & frontend). Knowledge of Java 11+, Angular/AngularJS, and REST APIs.

• Strong DevSecOPS experience, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab), Kubernetes (basic knowledge)

• Oversee the production of quality software solutions in accordance with the best applicable practices (maintainable, secure, documented, scalable, testable and in line with the business line’s needs), for the components and/or software segments assigned to them:

• Secondary skills

• Good to have database knowledge in SQL Server, and Oracle

• Knowledge on Docusign or Alfresco will be appreciate

• Knowledge of ControlM will be appreciate

• Have some knowledge regarding monitoring tools (Centreon, Dynatrace, …)
