About the Role Join ESAB as an Assistant Manager focused on driving manufacturing process improvements to reduce costs, lead times, and inventory while improving quality and safety. You will assess current machinery and layout, propose improvements, and lead or support training in lean concepts, optimizing floor layout and material flow. You will document improvements in manufacturing overhead, efficiency, and utilization as a seasoned professional.
What You'll Do
- Implement manufacturing process improvements and identify opportunities for cost reduction, lead-time reduction, inventory reduction, and quality improvement.
- Evaluate current machinery and layout and recommend improvements that enhance productivity and safety.
- Train teams on improvement processes and optimize floor layout and material flow through applying lean concepts.
- Document improvements in manufacturing overhead, efficiency and utilization.
- Apply your experience with principles, concepts, practices and standards to solve problems with data analysis across diverse scopes.
What We're Looking For
- Typically requires a degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of lean concepts, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work with data, analyze problems, and implement improvements across functions.
